For the H.O.P.E. Program, it takes $320 to pay one teenager to do their homework for 2 hours/day, 5 days/week at $8/hour for one month. This pay ensures that the program is accessible to all youth and teaches them money management and responsibility. Youth in the HOPE program are hired and paid because education should be a teen’s job.
